Let’s Get This Party Started

Happy 2021 Everyone!! Or should I say, 2020-FUN?! (Just trying to manifest here). I wanted to start off the year with one of my favorite meals (or treats)— a Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl!! There is something about eating a smoothie bowl that just makes me feel like I have my life together and that is just what I need for the first day of the year (aka the first Monday of the year) and I hope you do too! If you live in a colder climate (like I do), I know that it is hard to eat a smoothie bowl during the colder months, especially in January. But there are no rules to when and where you eat a smoothie bowl- it is a meal you could have for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!! I hope you enjoy the recipe below! Since we are talking about the start of a new year, there is always this expectation to create crazy resolutions for the year— like eating healthier or exercising more. Even though those are good goals, they are hard to stick to if you do not have a plan set in place for yourself. I love setting goals and I think that it is important to do so in every aspect of your life. Maybe this is because from elementary school until high school I had to write out goals for myself every semester, so it is now engrained in my brain... Anyways, any goal no matter how small it is, is a good goal. Two of the goals that I set for this year revolve around growing and learning. These goals are reading 12 books and getting a 365 day streak on Duolingo to practice Spanish! (Speaking of— I have to go get my daily Spanish lesson in).
